Tokyo Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games (Tokyo 2020) announced today that it will be launching applications for the Tokyo 2020 Games Volunteer Program starting September 26, 2018. Volunteers will provide valuable support the operation of the Games. competition venues and athletes’ village, and their contribution will be a key factor in the success of the Games.
Games volunteers will have a unique opportunity to provide support in a number of areas, including spectator orientation, competitive operations and media operations. They will be deployed at various venues, including competition venues and the athletes’ village.
Tokyo 2020 seeks to provide up to 80,000 volunteer opportunities. It welcomes the candidatures of all the enthusiasts to contribute to the success of the Games.
Applications will open at 13:00 JST from Wednesday, September 26, 2018 to December 2018

Qualifications
Anyone born on or before April 1, 2002 is free to apply to become a Games volunteer
A regular driver’s license will be required for certain activities in the “transportation assistance” category. Apart from this, no special qualifications will be required.
Japanese nationals or persons holding a valid visa to reside in Japan during the volunteering period (including temporary visitors)
Eligible regions: Open for All.
